A VISIT WITH CYRUS SUTTON AND JAKE MOSS
Shakas and Singlefins — I met up with my amigo Cyrus when I was back in California for an afternoon. He took me over to Jake Moss's place in Encinitas to put the finishing touches on a handplane he shaped me. The handplane is shaped from paulownia wood (the same wood alaias are shaped from) and had some customizations done via a woodburning tool. Left out to dry in the sun after applying the linseed oil, I got to talking with Jake and Cyrus. They've been collabing with some odd designs and telling me about some of the ideas they're working on. Jake has this awesome soulful ...
