Manninen Takes Nordic Combined Win at Kuusamo

N.H. Ski Association Donates $10,000 to Make-A-Wish Foundation

Woodstock, NH - Ski New Hampshire (Ski NH), the statewide association representing 36 alpine and cross country ski resorts around the state, adopted the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Hampshire as its official charity four years ago. As part of this partnership, $5 from every Ski NH 5th grade Snowsports Passport is donated to Make-A-Wish. At Ski NH's annual Boston media reception last week, the organization presented the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Hampshire with a check for $10,125 from the sales of Snowsports Passports during the 2008-09 winter season.

27 November, 2009 : - - This was the first time the Rumblefish VQS visited the North of Portugal and it got a taste of what’s like to be a Northern surfer. Days before it arrived we were crossing our fingers as all signs where going on red alert for the biggest storm of the year. When we got to the beach Saturday morning it looked like the gates of the Winter hell were open: freezing cold, howling South winds, raining cats and dogs and big stormy surf. Anyway five dozens of brave surfers, a mix of tiny nine year old groms to forty year old farts, were there ready to go but we decided to cancel it for the day and go for some hot food and a poker afternoon. Yours truly was taken to the ropes and got a nice spanking. The kids seem to have developed some weird poker skills nowadays.
